If you're looking for an authentic alpine chalet, then you have to see Les Chamufins!
The Les Chamufins area is located above Lac Vernex, in the municipality of Rossinière in the District Riviera-Pays-d'En-Haut.
The majestic view and tranquility are definitely guaranteed. The alpine chalet was built in 1789 and regularly maintained by the cowherd during each summer and renovated in 2008 with habitable parts made comfortable, while respecting authenticity.
The building has solid walls and a four-pitched roof. At the back of the chalet, there is a spring that has never run dry. The east-facing terrace offers the perspective of a romantic breakfast in an idyllic setting.
As with all good things, you have to earn access to the chalet. The easiest route goes through La Lécherette, then takes the Route de Neusille, always straight ahead and at the end of the descent, takes the road up to the alpine chalet at 1626 meters altitude. You leave your car behind the Chalet des Ecrouvignes and take the red and white marked trail. First, you climb a gentle slope, then you arrive in the forest and follow the fence on flat ground. Then the trail begins to descend. It is still marked red and white. When you arrive on a plateau with yellow signposts, you need to turn left and descend to the exit of the forest. At the end of the flat trail in the alpine chalet, there is the Chalet Les Tsamufins. That's it.
Even if it's not necessary to be mountain-footed, good shoes and a pair of hiking poles are recommended. You should plan for about half an hour of walking from the Chalet des Ecrouvignes to the Chamufins.
The property is located outside the building zone but will not be subject to the LDFR (Loi sur le Droit Foncier Rural) due to the current division of plot No 586 in Rossinière. The portion intended with the chalet will benefit from the suitable land servitudes and an area of approximately 440 m2.
