From mid-October 2026, I will be moving into a special maisonette apartment in the heart of Winterthur's old town. What's missing? Someone to share the home with, who feels good about sharing a home: laughing together, sometimes philosophizing about life, supporting each other, and just as naturally closing the door and having time for themselves.

Your room
Your unfurnished, 14 m² large room is located on the lower floor. It has a nice laminate floor, daylight, and a view of the neighboring old town roofs. I live on the upper floor. So each person has their own retreat.
The apartment offers 76 m² on two floors. We use the kitchen, dining, and living area, as well as the bathroom, together. The washing machine and dryer are located directly in the apartment.
And then there's the 15 m² large terrace: space for the first coffee, visiting for an aperitif, a book in the fresh air, and conversations where you eventually notice that it's gotten dark. With a view over the roofs and into the inner courtyard, right in the city.
The apartment is located at Schmidgasse 3 and has a bike cellar. Cafes, restaurants, shopping, and old town life are right outside the door, and the main train station is easily accessible on foot.

Who you would be living with
I am 49, a project manager, divorced, and have no children. For the last 4 years, I was in a great 4-person shared flat, but unfortunately, it was a bit too far from the city. I enjoy sports, am often out with friends, and also like to have visitors. Open relationships are part of my life. I mention this because I think it's important to have a natural interaction with different lifestyles. For our shared flat, I wish for a friendly cohabitation.
I enjoy conversations that go beyond "How was your day?" and like to philosophize. I think it's nice when we're there for each other in everyday life. And if something breaks: as an electrician and computer scientist with a passion for craftsmanship, I can repair or build a few things. However, this does not come with a guarantee of lifelong IT support.

How I imagine our shared flat
I wish for a personal, uncomplicated 2-person shared flat. Sometimes eating together, spontaneously doing something, or just hanging out on the terrace. At the same time, we both have our own lives, our contacts, and our free space. Your visitors are always welcome.
Your age is secondary to me. I am a non-smoker; whether you smoke or not does not decide whether we fit together. Much more important to me are mutual respect, being able to address things openly, and the feeling of being at home.
