Description
Hello!
We are Juliane and Clara (both 27) and have recently moved in together (but are very happy to be living together now). Our dear Jan is unfortunately leaving us, which is why we are now looking for a new member for our shared apartment.
About us:
I, Clara, from Frankfurt, moved to Zurich in April for my new job. But to be honest, the primary goal was to live near the mountains. This is also fully utilized every weekend and all vacation days are spent on long weekends in the mountains (whether hiking, hut tours, bivouacking, or ski touring). Very rarely, I also work on weekends (like now, but first on company expenses writing this text). Otherwise, I also enjoy other types of sports and am a bit of a trendsetter (running, swimming, etc.). When I'm in Zurich on the weekends, I like to stroll around, have a coffee, go to the lake, etc. I'm definitely more of a morning person than a night owl haha. What's also important to mention is that we both have visitors quite frequently. Either someone who has an early flight the next morning or comes for the weekend from Germany. We also like to invite our Zurich friends over for dinner. But by 10 PM at the latest, the lights are out for all of us on weekdays, and if it were up to me, the shared apartment rhythm could stay that way hihihi.
Juliane, 27, from Karlsruhe (which isn't really Karlsruhe but more like a small village south of Karlsruhe - felt like more cows than people), also moved to Zurich at the end of July and is super happy to be here! I lived in New York for 3 years before and in southern Germany before that. Like Clara, I'm also very early to bed on weekdays, but on weekends, I'm happy to stay out a bit longer if I'm not training for a marathon.. (Quarter-Life-Crisis at its best haha) Otherwise, I'm also super happy to be in the mountains, either hiking in the summer or skiing in the winter! So far, I haven't reached Clara's level, but who knows what the next few years will bring haha - my enthusiasm can definitely be built up if I like something :)) Otherwise, I work in the economy and usually have my stressful phase in the winter months, which is then balanced out in the summer with lots of vacation and travel hihi I love relaxed weekend brunches, coffee dates, or wine nights, and I'm basically always up for anything and easy to convince to do something :))
About the apartment: Our shared apartment is really heaven on earth. The location is great if you don't want to fall from bed into a club, but can easily open the window at night. You're in 10 minutes at the Enge train station or in 5 minutes on Waffenplatzstrasse. At the Migrolino across the street, we spend our rent daily, but it's practical. You also have a great view of the Uetliberg and if you look closely, even the mountains. But besides the 2 floors and 2 bathrooms, our rooftop terrace tops everything. We ate and chilled there a lot in the summer evenings. During the day, you would unfortunately have died of heatstroke (but also inside our apartment, so whatever). On foot, you're also in 10 minutes at the Enge swimming pool. All in all, it's simply premium. The pictures speak for themselves. It's not yet clear whether Jan's room will become available (CHF 1350 rent) or Clara's room (which is a bit larger for CHF 1500). Jan would like to get rid of the furniture (wardrobe, bed, desk, desk chair, shelf - i.e., the furniture you can see in the picture with the fairy lights). That would be one of the conditions for moving in with us :) Additionally, there's unfortunately a relatively high deposit of around CHF 4000. We're looking for someone who is roughly our age, employed, and maybe even has some overlapping interests :)
Hey, we'd be super happy to get to know you. But since you have to strongly filter, please write a bit about yourself (preferably more than two sentences). Tell us where you're from, what brings you to Zurich, whether you have siblings haha, what your rhythm is like, and what your friends say your biggest quirk is for other people hahaa. We at least need to know who has read to the end and would also love to see your Instagram if you have one :)
