Room with garden access in 4-person shared apartment in Bern Altenberg
Hello! We are Lisa, Avery, and Giuliano, all in our early to mid-30s, sporty and nature-loving, and we are looking for a new roommate for our spacious apartment (over 120 m²) with direct garden access, view of the Aare, and the Bern city center.
With us, you can have quiet evenings as well as spontaneous kitchen conversations, cooking with music, game nights, grilling, and wine evenings in the garden. Lisa is from Germany, Avery is from the USA, and Giuliano is Swiss.
About us
Avery (F, 27) is from Alaska, USA, and is studying sustainability at the University of Bern. She speaks English but is hoping to pick up some German during her time in Bern! She loves to be in the mountains, skiing, hiking, or biking, but also appreciates a night out or a cozy night in cooking dinner.
Giuliano (M, 35) - entrepreneur, loves to sit together in the evenings for good conversations or can be found jogging or sunbathing by the Aare. DIY projects and making music complement his free time.
Lisa (F, 32) - certified MTB guide, often in the mountains; loves bouldering, everything on two wheels, and relaxed evenings.
The apartment
Location: Altenberg, Bern - 70 m to the Aare, large U-shaped garden with sun and shade spots, winter garden, fitness room, and sauna in the house. Garden maintenance is shared among the roommates.
Your room: unfurnished, 11.3 m² - available for move-in from December 1st
Rent: 1000 CHF/month - utilities: approximately 130 CHF/month - deposit: 1000 CHF
What we are looking for
You appreciate an open, cheerful, and respectful home where something is always happening, but you can also withdraw when you want to rest. You are open to joint activities (without obligation), like dogs (we occasionally take care of friends' dogs), take on your part in the kitchen, bathroom, and garden. A green thumb is a plus.
Age: ideally 27-37
