Hello, we are moving out of our beautiful chalet in Salvan.
The main door is located right next to the covered parking, there is a small entrance that leads to the large kitchen (dishwasher, induction hob, fridge and freezer) and which is connected to the dining room/conservatory. The kitchen has a large access to the balcony with a view of the mountains. Thanks to the trees, there is no vis-à-vis
Next is the living room with a reading/media area. The living room is very spacious and can be arranged with a fireplace or a window. There is a fireplace area as well as a stone oven. There is access to the large balcony from the living room. (We are willing to leave the gray sofa as well as the table and TV cabinet) From this large space, you have access to a bathroom as well as a small room that we used as a guest room (We are willing to leave all the furniture in this room, the mattress is a spring mattress that has been used less than ten times.)
From the living room, you go up the stairs. Here are 2 spacious and bright rooms, one of which has a sublime view of the Valais panorama. Both have a parquet floor. Opposite these two rooms is the very large master bedroom, which is complemented by a private bathroom with a bathtub and shower as well as a small dressing room. The master bedroom has a view of the mountains and you can wake up with the sunrise over them.
From the living room, you also have access to the lower floor. Here is an old dance training room that can be used as a home gym or play area for children. The large white cabinets are custom-made and remain on site. (We are willing to leave the training mat, which is foldable and almost new). Downstairs, there is also a laundry room with a washing machine that we bought a year ago and which we also leave, a cellar and a private sauna with its own shower right next to it.
From the bottom, there is access to the garden, there is an area with slabs, a vegetable garden to be re-cultivated, a small pond and a swing. Upstairs, there is an area with slabs, an outdoor barbecue and an area with mulberries and raspberries that have just been planted and which, of course, remain. The table that is outside is also available.
Salvan is a very quiet and well-located place. The small red train (Mont-Blanc Express) is 10 minutes away on foot, Martigny is only 12 minutes away by car. There are many family-friendly events and 10 minutes away on foot, there is a café, 3 restaurants, a grocery store, an Edelweiss and 2 bakeries as well as a butcher's shop. In winter, there is also an ice rink right next door, the Marécottes zoo is 20 minutes away on foot and there is the possibility of canyoning.
The takeover is possible from August 1st, preferably semi-furnished, but to be discussed (it is mostly our furniture, not the owner's, so there is no long-term obligation to keep it). Ideally, the takeover would be on Monday, August 3rd, 2026, to be discussed. However, you have the possibility to already drop off some boxes (from July 25th, 2026), but not more, as the condition of the property must be determined with the owner.
The rent is 1900.-, electricity and water charges of about 200-250 CHF per month must be considered, depending on consumption. The charges can be higher in winter because the chalet is very large and requires energy to heat it. We are leaving half a cord of wood for the stove (fireplace in the living room). The stone oven is a very good tool when used correctly.
