In the Hobelwerk area in Oberwinterthur, a spacious 8.5-room cluster apartment will become available. We are looking for people who want to live together and build a new cluster community.

The apartment will be rented as a whole – not as individual shared rooms. The future residents will organize themselves independently as an association.

What is cluster living?

Cluster living combines private retreats with spacious community areas. The apartment includes private rooms with adjacent bathrooms as well as shared areas like kitchen, living room, and balconies/terraces.

This type of living is suitable for people who want to live together, take responsibility, and get involved actively.

Who we are looking for

We are looking for individuals, couples, or small groups who want to build a new cluster community together. A complete group is not required.

Even a small starting group can begin and later take in more co-residents.

Organization as an association

The residents will found an association that will become the contractual partner of the cooperative and organize the communal living. This includes, among other things:

• Accepting new co-residents

• Assigning rooms

• Organizing shared costs

• Managing subletting relationships

• Being the contact person for the cooperative

Important framework conditions

• Car-free living (private cars only allowed in exceptional cases)

• Mobility offers with electric vehicles on site

• Pets: only house cats allowed

• Cooperative shares instead of rent deposit

• Minimum occupancy: approx. 6-7 people
