Bourg-Saint-Pierre,
Located in the canton of Valais (district of Entremont), this village at 1632 meters above sea level is the last passage before Italy and the famous Grand St. Bernard Hospice. This is the Valais as we love it: genuine, calm, and free from mass tourism.
30 minutes from Martigny, 10 minutes from the Italian border, and 30 minutes from Aosta, 20 minutes from the famous Verbier ski resort.
Bourg-Saint-Pierre is also known for the passage of Charlemagne and Napoleon Bonaparte, the village contains some remains from the past, including the oldest bell tower in the canton.
The village is situated in a mountainous setting where the landscapes offer peace and an exceptional quality of life.
In winter: skiing, snowshoes, hiking, and in summer: the network of hiking trails is impressive.
A small family ski lift is located in the village, a heated indoor pool all year round.
