Description

The picture shows the main house and the newly insulated chalet, including two very spacious double garages. The chalet is not yet finished inside (electricity, water supply, etc. all available), so that the buyers can decide for themselves how they want to further develop it. It is ideal for a studio, but it can also be made into a beautiful small apartment/dependence. We have had additional windows installed especially for this purpose.

The main house offers a lot of space and has been continuously expanded and renovated. It has a modern pellet heating system as well as solar thermal and solar energy (6kW) including a 12 kW battery storage system. The electricity costs are therefore very low. Directly in front of the house entrance, there are 3 parking spaces, one of which is a practical canopy in front of the entrance gate. Two bathrooms, one very modern, the other in a rural style. The house has a DPE value "B" (insulation/energy), as it was fully reinsulated by our predecessor. This is rare for houses of this history. The house offers all living comfort and modern/new household appliances/devices, but retains its rustic and warm charm everywhere through wood and stone, which is still visible in the house. We have almost completely repainted the house inside and equipped it with new floors.

The chalet was professionally insulated and clad with wood in 2025 on our behalf. A sun terrace was also created, with a fantastic view into the forest.

The garden, including a new foil tunnel, offers everything that a gardener's heart desires. Self-sufficiency with vegetables is no problem (including happy chickens). More than 10,000 liters of rainwater tanks are also available for dry periods. Own compost is naturally also available, as well as fruit trees and berry bushes.

The house is in excellent condition and offers a very good and healthy climate. Due to the massive stone construction, it remains pleasantly cool in summer and in winter, the efficient pellet heating and the new ESSE wood stove in the living room provide pleasant warmth. Additionally, the fact that Belverne is completely surrounded by forest also benefits the climate and air quality.

The house purchase is administratively uncomplicated, and there are no "additional" hurdles, even for foreigners. The house is transferred normally through a notary, and as soon as you move in, you register with the municipality, and that's it. The people here are open and talkative, but you can also live completely withdrawn. There have already been Swiss people here before us, and currently, a German and a Spanish couple are living here.

The sale is not urgent for us, it can also be in 2027. Photos are available, and viewings are possible in case of serious interest. If you have any questions, please contact us, preferably with your email address. We would be particularly pleased to find someone who also enjoys gardening. You feel a bit like you're on vacation here, and far away from hustle and bustle and density stress, and yet you're close to Switzerland (Basel 1 hour, Delsberg about 40 minutes).
