Since I (Frieda, 30) am leaving Bern after 3 beautiful years and moving to Thun to be with my boyfriend, my cozy room in our shared apartment in Fischermätteli is becoming available.
The apartment is located in a quiet street directly by the Könizwald. All around, there are many family homes, creating a very pleasant and relaxed living atmosphere. The apartment is on the second floor of a small multi-family house. On the ground floor lives an older couple, and on the first floor, a couple with a cat. We have a joint WhatsApp group in the house, and I have always felt very comfortable and well taken care of here.
The house also has a beautiful garden with various seating areas, an apple tree, and grapevines. Especially in the summer, it's great to read, eat, or simply sit outside.
The location is one of the highlights for me. In about three minutes, you're at the Voi, as well as the tram and bus, in one minute on foot in the forest, and by bike, you need about eight minutes to get to Bern train station.
The room is approximately 12 square meters in size and has a beautiful wooden floor and practical built-in closets. I myself never needed an additional closet because I could easily store everything in it. There's additional storage space for skis, bikes, etc. in the basement and attic. The bathroom and kitchen were newly renovated. There is no separate living room.

About your future roommates and living together
I'm Yari, 27, an open, communicative, and fairly tidy person. For the shared apartment, I'm looking for someone who enjoys a relaxed, heartfelt, and uncomplicated living together. I think it would be nice if the living together just naturally happens: sometimes eating ice cream together, playing a round of ping-pong, sitting on the balcony and chatting, or spontaneously doing something. At the same time, I find it just as important that each person has their own daily routine, their own people, and their own free time.
I'm currently studying at the PH and am usually there during the day. I'm in my first practical training at a 2nd-grade school and am therefore currently busy cutting, gluing, and crafting.
In my free time, I'm passionate about music, like to be outdoors and in the woods, and once a week, I attend inclusive football training in the evenings. Overall, I like a shared living situation where you can gladly meet, laugh, and chat together, but also have your own peace and quiet.
Additionally, Marc (25) lives in the shared apartment. He works as an environmental engineer for an NGO and is in Bern from Tuesday to Thursday, as his main residence is in Geneva. Marc is a quiet and pleasant roommate. On Tuesdays, he plays football in Bern, and he also likes to cook a lot.
