We are looking for two new flatmates (ideally a couple or good friends) who want to share two rooms and a bathroom in our beautiful large/cluster/satellite shared apartment in Oerlikon, starting from October 1, 2026!

We are a community of 9 adults (27-48) with diverse interests such as climbing, yoga, cooking, mountains, computer and board games, culture, politics, plants, technology, and many more. We regularly cook and eat together, mostly vegetarian, but everything from many vegan products to meat is available. What unites us is the desire to live not alone, but together with others. Important to us are interest in the community and considerate cohabitation, which works well thanks to our generosity and reliability, even without rigid structures. It is part of our shared apartment that we deal with ourselves and the community, which allows us to grow together.

Our apartment is 400 m² large and consists of six so-called clusters or satellites, each with one or two rooms, a bathroom, and a tea kitchen, separated from the community area by a soundproof door. The community area consists of a large kitchen, a well-equipped and used office area, and a living room with plenty of plants and sofas. We also have two balconies where we like to spend time in the summer and grow some vegetables. Our apartment offers enough space to withdraw and also to come together. Above us are more cluster shared apartments, and the car-free cooperative and the Hunziker area include 12 more houses with workshops, community rooms, and the very popular sauna. Instead of a deposit, we have corresponding cooperative shares (usually 10,000 CHF per person, which are paid back when moving out).
The cluster is 40 m² large and consists of two living rooms (13.1 m² and 14.4 m²), a large anteroom (8.3 m²) with a refrigerator, and a private bathroom (8 m²). The costs are CHF 1831/month, including all ancillary costs (such as food from a bio-vegetable and cheese subscription, internet, newspaper, cleaning of community areas, etc.). The rental cluster is marked on the floor plan.
Through our subscriptions, we receive weekly vegetables, fruits, eggs, and dairy products from the bio-farm (more than vegetables, Ortolocco, and Basimilch). In return, we have to do a few shifts on the field or for other operational work every year (about 3 half-days per person), which we can do individually or in larger or smaller groups. Additionally, we share all other food, which gives us a feeling of being at home.
