A 2 room-cluster with one bathroom, kitchenette and balcony will be free, inside our larger flatshare (see flat map image). This cluster will be free from September 1st, and one of the two rooms will be free already on August 1st, 2026. Threfore, we are therefore for 2 new flatmates or a couple.

About us - who we are:
Excluding the flatmates that will leave soon, we are 3 guys and 3 girls. So with you and the other additional new flatmate, the full flat will be 8 flatmates, plus an additional half-year-old baby daughter of two flatmates. Our ages are in the 30s plus minus some years range.

We are a friendly and international group (German, Italian, Hungarian-Polish, Mexican), and we speak mainly English or German depending on who is around. We all work in different engineering and science fields: Water treatment, soil science, psychology, software, electronics and mechanics. Our hobbies are also varied: from sport, dancing, gardening, creativity, watching a film from time to time at our projector, and just chilling and having nice talks.

About us - how we live:
We set the following vision: We are a collaborative, living community united by engagement, shared experiences, meaningful connections, and mutual care. We aim to make everyday life more fulfilling. We value diversity such as gender, culture, and language. We encourage creative and unconventional activities to bring playfulness and unexpected joy into daily life. Our home is cozy and well-maintained, yet embracing recycling and mindful consumption.

We share food and meals and also the effort of the house tasks. We have regular flat meetings to take decisions, and from time to time, we invite our family, neighbours or friends to enjoy time together.

About you:
We are looking for two persons or a couple, and we are inclusive for identity or sexual orientation, but we ask you to only apply if you can live with us at least 1.5 years.

You align with the section how we live; meaning you share effort in the house tasks, are tidy, participate in meetings, like cooking together, care for our planet and join fun activities with us and our neighbours... You know your needs, youre able to share them in a group, and youre able to compromise. Were happy to learn about you and your passions! And most importantly, we should have a good feeling about each other when we meet in person :).

Room and Cluster:
The cluster of 2 rooms, have 18.8m2 (room 2), 12.8m2 (room 3), a bathroom (4.7m2) and a kitchenette (7.2m2), adding a total of 43.5m2 for the whole cluster. Check the flat map image to see the spaces. This cluster faces south so you will get a lot of sun and also some noise from the rails, but you can get used to it :).

As the rooms are rented separately the moment, and the room for August 1st will be free first, we also have a Flatfox ad, in case we find a good candidate alone before finding two together, so feel free to check it out. If you are searching alone, and know someone that could be a good match for you and for the flat, feel free to share the add and apply together!

Common spaces:
Outside of your cluster, there is our large set of common spaces of 171 m2, which includes a large kitchen, spacious living room, large balcony, spacious pathways, a shared office space, and a spare room for guests with its own bathroom, which we use as the bathroom for our social events. Additionally, we have a small parcel in a shared garden which is outside next to our building, where we grow some veggies and plants.

About the cooperative:
Our apartment is part of the Hunzikerareal of the cooperative "Mehr als wohnen", which is a big non-profit collective project (Genossenschaft), consisting of many neighbours in 14 buildings, with a nice vision aiming for enhancing interaction between flatmates and neighbours, and promoting positive impact projects and a more sustainable lifestyle. There are many nice project groups (Quartiergruppen) lead by the residents, such as yoga, salsa, languages, and there are many nice facilities that we share, such as a nice social room with kitchen for events (Treffpunkt), gym, bike repairing workshop, wood cutting workshop, sauna, etc. And every year, we organize several events like summer day festival, winter party, small concerts, cooperative potlucks, boardgame nights, etc. As a resident, you can join any project or start your own and get support for it.

Monthly Rent Costs:
2-room cluster - 1861 CHF.
Or in case you would apply for a room separately:
Room 2 - 1062 CHF
Room 3 - 799 CHF.

This includes: electricity, Internet, TV-Radio (Serafe), a bi-weekly cleaning service for the common spaces, and also includes the Mobiliarfond which are 30 CHF per month per person that we all pay to have always some budget for new house items, tools, maintenance, repairs, some house renovations or new furniture.

When joining, you will have to make two unique initial deposits, both which you will get back whenever you move out. First, the rent deposit of one month of rent (1861 CHF for the cluster, or 1062 CHF for room 2 and 799 CHF for room 3), which is for the flat. And second, larger deposit requested by the Genossenschaft Mehr als Wohnen to anyone living in this cooperative, of ~11,572 CHF per person (Anteilskapital). This last deposit is invested, so it generates an interest that you will also get back at the moment when you move out. If you can not cover this full amount at the beginning, let us know to help you find solutions to cover it.
