Rohrbach is a vibrant community in the Bernese Oberaargau and lies at 584 meters above sea level in the Swiss plateau on the Langete. The municipal area covers around 4.08 square kilometers, of which about 0.75 square kilometers are forested. In addition to the village core, the hamlets of Boden, Kasern, and Sossau also belong to the municipality. Rohrbach borders the neighboring municipalities of Auswil, Huttwil, Madiswil, and Rohrbachgraben.

Rohrbach today has around 1,500 to 1,600 inhabitants and is one of the oldest settlements in the canton of Bern. As early as 795, the village was first mentioned in a document, at that time still under the name Rorpah.

The village is characterized by craft and commercial enterprises as well as an active village community. Associations, local events, and leisure activities offer opportunities for encounter and movement. The weekly market on Saturdays is also one of the popular meeting points in the village.

Rohrbach is located on the connecting road between Huttwil and Langenthal and is therefore well connected to the regional transport network. Larger cities like Bern, Lucerne, Basel, or Zurich are easily accessible via the railway line Huttwil-Langenthal and the road network.

In the village, there are kindergartens and primary schools, while upper-level students attend the upper-level center in Kleindietwil.
