The municipality of Degersheim is located in the hilly landscape of the pre-Alps and is a political municipality in the Wil constituency of the canton of St. Gallen. In terms of transport, Degersheim is connected to the network of the St. Gallen S-Bahn and is thus located on the Southeastern railway line St. Gallen-Wattwil-Nesslau-Neu St. Johann. A post bus line connects Degersheim via Wolfertswil and Magdenau with Flawil and ensures the connection to the SBB network there. Another post bus line runs via Dicken to St. Peterzell in the Neckertal valley.
