Location and accessibility

Grächen is located on a plateau in the Mattertal, 1,600 m above sea level, this terrace was created during the ice age. Both large Vispertals were filled with glaciers at that time. The region is one of the driest and therefore one of the sunniest areas in Switzerland. Grächen is well-developed and easily accessible by public transportation (post bus) throughout the year.
