A catastrophe marks the beginning

About 300 years ago, the lower old town was almost completely destroyed by a fire. In 1716, the reconstruction began. Our residential building, which also served as a tannery for a long time, dates back to this period.

Over the last twenty years, the property has been completely renovated from the ground up. Bernese parquet floors, sandstone walls, a frieze, wonderful roof truss, and historic wall cabinets have been restored with great attention to detail.
