The mountain village of Selkingen is located at 1,318 meters above sea level and belongs to the Goms district, a beautiful and natural area in the Upper Valais. Biel, Gluringen, Selkingen, and Ritzingen were part of the Grafschaft quarter. Since 2017, Grafschaft has been part of the Goms municipality. Nature has shaped the village and its inhabitants over the centuries. The alpine high valley offers a fantastic network of hiking trails and is known beyond national borders as a Nordic skiing center.
