I am offering my room for sublet for the month of August. In a shared apartment in Neuchâtel, in the Maladière neighborhood, the location is really top-notch, just a few steps from the lake (about 100 m), close to the shopping center, about 10 minutes walk from the train station or served by bus lines 101 and 121.

The room, about 12 m² in size, is part of an apartment with three rooms as well as common areas, including a separate kitchen, a bathroom, and a cozy living room. The latter is freshly equipped with a projector (replacing the visible TV) and a bright dining area arranged near the window. My bed is a queen-size bed (small double bed) and the room has a desk with 4 drawers as well as a large wardrobe with hanging space.

The accommodation operates as a shared apartment, which implies a certain spirit of sharing and respect for the common areas (notably for the kitchen and dishes) that are used collectively. The other rooms can therefore be occupied either by my usual roommates, remain closed, or also be sublet. Past experiences show that subletters do not necessarily know each other in advance, but that a good dynamic easily sets in with a minimum of openness.

The rent is fixed at 650 CHF for the month, including all charges (electricity and heating), without subsequent adjustment. Any potential damages would, of course, be at the expense of the tenant. A laundry room is available in the building, accessible via a personal card (use not included). Dishes are washed by hand. The kitchen is otherwise equipped (oven, stove, microwave, toaster, mixer, slow cooker). Some basic products like spices, oils, and vinegar are also made available for common use, which contributes to a simple and convivial atmosphere.

The apartment is located on the third floor of a building, access without elevator.

This accommodation is particularly suitable for a person passing through Neuchâtel during the summer – be it as a student, intern, or other – looking for a pleasant, affordable, well-located, and easy-to-live-in environment.
